Guiding Competition
The Guiding Competition is one of the contests organized as part of the NTSC 2023 Event. In this competition, participants will engage in guided commentary activities inside a bus while touring around the city of Bandung. Participants will have the opportunity to select a topic of commentary that aligns with the main theme of NTSC 2023.
Rules And Regulations

The Guiding Competition is an individual competition.

The competition will be conducted offline in the practice room of the Tourism Business Program (Simulation of Travel Business).

Apart from participants, judges, and the organizing committee, no one else is allowed in the practice room during the competition. Violations will result in disqualification.

The language used is English.

The guiding material is themed around the 4 tourism mega-trends of 2023 from the Ministry of Tourism and Creative Economy: "End of Ambition," "Embellished Escapism," "Always in Doubt," "Polycentric Lifestyle."

Participants are free to choose their guiding material and tourist attractions.

Participants are responsible for guiding as they would in a real guiding activity.

Guiding material must not contain elements of discrimination or political bias.

A Technical Meeting will be held on Monday, October 16, 2023.

On Sunday, October 22, 2023, participants are required to submit their topic of commentary to the committee in soft file format; failure to do so will result in disqualification.

The format of the topic of commentary is flexible.

The competition will take place on Wednesday, October 25, 2023.

Participants are allotted a maximum of 15 minutes from the start of their speech (including the opening and closing).

Participants must gather 15 minutes before the competition begins.

Participants are allowed to use aids such as videos, images, miniatures, etc.

Participants must wear neat and respectful batik attire without displaying specific organizations or institutions.
